Just purchased it. Very decent price. I was just looking for a basic router and I think this product perfectly fits my needs. Also very easy to set up and I did it in less than a minute. So far so good and definitely recommend it.

Have bought a few of these in the past. This is my 5th one. They work as expected. Have not had any issues and easy to setup.

This is a very good product. It is expensive and It does exactly what it is intended to do. It was perfect for my needs, in order to extend my network.

Short lived

Reviewed by: Rachelle
-It's a 2.4Ghz router in a world when that's getting hard to find. -Affordable. -The LEDs on the front make it easy to see status.
Short lifespan. Something the manufacturers could change would be the tiny raised lettering on the back to indicate the WPS button, etc. They are tiny and the same colour as the body plastic. Not only did I need a magnifying glass to see them; I also had to go over the raised letters with a black marker so that they could be read with a magnifying glass.
I was glad to have a 2.4Ghz router.

Sometimes the LEDs would indicate that something was working, when it was not.

The average life of a wifi router is 5 years, and this one started being troublesome just as it's 2 year warranty period ended. Multiple issues started happening with anything connected to the router: devices, computer, internet speed; it kept resetting itself back to factory settings.

I'm replacing it under the 3-yr direct replacement, but would rather get something more robust. I don't trust this model of router at all.

Intermittent dropped connections

Reviewed by: Paul
Price is good. Excellent feature set.
This unit would only stay stable for a few hours at best. Wireless clients would drop connection for no apparent reason -- they would show connected to the unit, but packets would be completely lost. Connectivity might return, might not. Constant reboots to make it work. Firmware upgrade didn't help. Of note, I was only using this as an access point. No WAN component was setup or used, so the issue was not internet access. Access to my own network was intermittent.
Without the reliability, this unit was useless to me and I returned it to the store. Canada Computers refunded me for it, but I wasted an unreasonable amount of time trying to make it work purely because of the price. It wasn't worth it in the end. I ended up buying an Engenius access point (much more expensive) and I haven't had any issues with dropped connections with it so far.

Give this one a pass until TP-Link gets their act together to deal with an unreasonable amount of unexplained dropped connections.

Faulty at first, seems okay now...

Decent speed and range. Nice setup page and easy installation.
It stopped working intermittently at first, I was connected to the router but absolutely no internet until rebooting the router. I took it to Canada Computers, was told it would take a month(wth) and I got a call a week or two later saying it's ready. I went there and they told me it worked fine when they tested so they juts upgraded the software and that's ALL they did(exactly the same unit). I don't know how I'm supposed to prove to them what happens regularly but only occasionally(once everyday). Anyway I just brought it home and the same thing happened a couple of times but seems okay for the past few days... We'll see how it goes...
Speed is decent for 10~40Mbps internet. Can't say for higher than that because I haven't tried. In the same room I get similar speed as max but wouldn't recommend it for a mid-to-big size houses... Range is okay but isn't fantastic.

Low Cost N300 Router

Reviewed by: Russ
For the price this is a great little router. Very simple to use Can be reprogrammed with DD-WRT Supports WDS for daisy-chain and repeaters
Some options cannot be programmed due to the simple menus
I have deployed over 25 of these routers. All are working well and are stable. Most people do not understand how WiFi interacts with other networks so they blame the router for poor coverage, low bandwidth and inconsistent rates. For the cost this is a nice simple router with WDS.

Not worth your time

Reviewed by: kostiko
Speeds as advertised
less coverage than expected (even less that the old one that supposedly should have been replaced), not stable at all
I bought this bugger based on fairly good reviews I read on internet and thinking that I should give a chance to new entrants in this market (TP-Link). It was by far the worst wireless router I've ever got since the signal strength all over the house was reduced (don't be fooled by the two antennas) and the most annoying fact was that I had to power cycle the unit at least once a day since it was loosing wireless connection with my laptop. Of course, I did the firmware upgrade but for no avail.
So back to the big boys (in my case D-Link). Canadacomputers is a great store but sometimes you can get here junk too

Great!

Great signal strength throughout my house. This thing is definitely priced to sell. Speeds are absolutely amazing, for the price.
Haven't found any weaknesses yet. I don't think I could be any happier due to the performance it delivers for it's price.
If you're just looking for something to keep you connected with decent speed get this router. This is a great router for anyone who doesn't have money to blow. Thumbs up for sure.
