I bought this for my SteamDeck so I could charge and play at the same time. It also allows me to use the extra port for my controller. Bonus of having ethernet as well.

Build quality is great and feels sturdy. Cable and connectors are high quality and strong materials.

Overall great product for the price.

Does work for Mac once you download driver from Realtek

Works great on Mac once you find out that MacOS no longer ships with a compatible driver and you need to add it yourself. to do that - plug it in, go to the apple icon in top left - click About This Mac - Click "System Report" Click on "USB" in menu on left - click on 10/100/1000 - under the USB 3.1 Bus arrow - then USB 3.0 Hub then its there - click it and info about it will pop in the box - you will see the rj45 adapter manufacturer is Realtek and their model number is 0x8153. (double check you dont have a different rj45 manufacturer or model - if you do google that one otherwise google macos Realtek 0x8153 driver. Open the link from Realtek (I can't post links in the comments sorry for making you work for this). Then scroll down to the MACOS driver under the windows drivers. Download it - give them an email address - then install it. It will restart your Mac so be ready. When it restarts the setting up your Mac screen may jump up - doont freak out - once its done everything works fine, the generic MacOS driver is no longer associated with the device and all your settings etc are still fine - nothing else changed.

Doesnt come with MacOS install instructions.

WOrks great. Needs some info for mac users since it is not supported as it ships.
